It is by now a part of our collective sensibility
- thanks also to the Kyoto Protocol - to worry
about environmental protection and pollution
control, so much so that it is more and more
frequent to look not only for the "quality" of a
process, but also for the fact that it should be
"harmless".
"Waste gasification" is meant to transform waste
into a gaseous fuel and produce energy without
polluting the environment.
This is also Gesteco's objective: as the company
always paid attention to the safeguard of
ecosystems, an avant-garde technology for the
transformation of waste into clean energy was
adopted and developed.
It is a process that excludes the formation
of dioxin and furans, as it works at high
temperatures.
In a few words, waste transforms into Syngas and
solid residues that can be reused in compliance
with Italian and European norms.
An innovative technology having nothing to do
with incinerators, where waste is being burnt
to produce energy; in the gasification process,
energy is produced by the synthesis gases
obtained from waste.
